Classroom |
A classroom seen from the children's desks : a board, a small stage, a big desk on the side, and then as the camera goes backward 6 rows of student desks and chairs (you can reuse those of Bu's temple). Pictures for the blackboard, the walls etc. arent included in this modeling task.

Dinofly model |
Dinofly must be modeled according to agreed concept art.
It is upto the person making the model what concept art they need, and they can post a thread for such.
The modeler is free to do the texture work himself, or too supply the mesh alone. The rigging the model is optional,but if it isnt it should be suitable to be. (eg, the wings should be designed so they look good when flapping). |

A rough model of Twinsen has to be made to help visualise the animation.
Must be 3DSMax /Charecter studio Biped-compatible, either prerigged or to a scale and pose suitable for rigging.
Good likeness to concept art is a must, but no need for advanced physics, hair, cloth or softbody skin. |

School children of various species. Children dont have to be modeled in detail, as they will be mostly seen from the back.
Many can do this task, but they must constantly post and co-operate on the forum.
A consistant, lba style must exist between all charecters. |

Concept research and referance gathering |
Over the years MBN/RMP has made many concepts, referances and artwork to do with MBN.
It would be handy for someone to gather up the (usefull) artwork for each of the main charecters,
and post them together for the modelers and sketchs to use as referances. |

2D Artwork for nebulars, twists, and other natural space objects.
Must be done in PNG, complete with alpha channel.
To be used on plans to make space look a lot more interesting then it should be. Nebulars, twirls ect...stuff to make the space view look amazing.
Feel free to use Nasa photos, or your own work. Just stick to exdurative, but realistic space colours. Its important the alpha-channels are pretty good. (this is quite hard to get right with this work, so take your time with it!) |

Background starscape for a space view must be made. Must look magical/mythical, rather then realistic. Must be 360x360 wraparound. Musnt distract too much from the foreground.
Look to games like "Homeworld" for how they deal with background starscapes. |

To be made separately or together, theres no harm in many people submitting these. They are to be used to texture the Himalayan mountains.
256x256 minimum res, must be seamlessly tileable.
The textures will be used from the base, to the mountain tops, but wont be seen too closely. So they should be made as if they were 50-100 meters away. |
